ADAPTIC Non-Adhering Dressing
ADAPTIC‡ Dressing and Packing Strips are primary dressings made of knitted cellulose acetate fabric and impregnated with a specially formulated petrolatum emulsion. They are designed to help protect the wound while preventing the dressing from adhering to the wound.
- Helps prevent dressing adherence
- Helps protect regenerating tissue and minimizes patient pain and trauma during dressing changes
- Helps prevent the pooling of fluid at the wound site
- Exudate easily passes through to the secondary absorbent dressing
- Can be cut to wound size without unraveling and shredding
Indications
ADAPTIC‡ Dressing is indicated for dry to heavily exuding wounds where adherence of dressing and exudate is to be prevented including:
- 1st and 2nd degree burns
- Abrasions
- Grafts
- Venous ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Nail extractions
- Eczema
- Staples
- Surgical incisions
- Lacerations
- Reconstructive procedures
- Suture lines
