BD Insyte Autoguard shielded IV catheters made of BD Vialon biomaterial mean added safety for you. They’re the safety-engineered version of the popular BD Insyte IV catheter. BD Insyte Autoguard shielded IV catheters do not contain elasticized PVC or natural rubber latex and can be used for Taxol administration.
The uniquepush-button shielding mechanism releases the spring and allows the needle and flash chamber to quickly retract into the safety barrel. The clinician maintains control of the process by deciding when to active the push-button shielding mechanism.
The BD Autoguard™ technology is the only safety-engineered catheter proven to demonstrate effective needlestick reduction. It has been clinically proved that the BD Insyte Autoguard reduced needlestick injuries by 95%.
The 20-, 22- and 24-gauge catheters feature the added benefit of theBD Onstaflash needle technology, providing immediate visual confirmation of vessel entry along the catheter shaft.
